  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1tbsp brown sugar
  • 2tbsp paprika
  • 3tbsp tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 200g minced beef
  • Bacon
  • Bun
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Cheese

How to Make the BBQ Sauce

Step #1

Sauté the onion and garlic

For the first step, you would need a pan and a spatula, along with the olive oil, onion, and garlic as the ingredients. The onion should be peeled and cut pole to pole to form rings. Meanwhile, you can have the garlic either crushed, sliced, or minced.

Before you start sautéing, put the pan over medium heat and wait until you have made sure that the oil is hot enough. Sauté the onions first for about five minutes, then add the garlic and wait for about 30 seconds before turning the heat off.

Step #2

Make the BBQ sauce

After sauteing the onion and garlic, you can add a tablespoon of brown sugar, two for paprika, and 3 for tomato paste. If the sauce is too thick, you can adjust it by adding water. Next, fry the mixture for about two minutes before transferring it to a bowl.

How to Fry the Cutlet

Step #1

Season the minced beef

The taste of the burger greatly depends on the patty, which is why seasoning the cutlet is an important step. Spread salt and pepper over the 200g of minced beef evenly to get a consistent taste. You can also add other spices depending on your preference.

Shape the burger patty.

Scoop about five to six ounces of the seasoned meat and press it together in a circling motion to form a ball. Afterward, flatten it using your hands or a spatula to get that puck-like shape for the patty.

The cutlet must be flat so that it will be easier for you to stack the ingredients for the burger. If you are worried about the patty puffing up while cooking it, you can make a divot or an indentation in the center of the cutlet using your thumb.

Step #2

Prepare the skillet

If you don’t have a grill or choose not to use it, you can utilize a cast iron pan instead. It serves as a good alternative because it can evenly distribute heat and maintain the temperature for a significantly longer time than other skillets.

Preheat the pan for about ten minutes over direct medium to high heat. Add the oil to the surface of the skillet and wait until it is hot enough. The pan’s temperature has to be high, or else you would not be able to sear the cutlet well.

Cook the cutlet

There is no fixed time for how long the cutlet should stay on the pan. Ideally, about six to eight minutes should be enough, but you can increase or decrease the duration depending on the doneness that you desire for the patty.

Avoid pressing down the cutlet so that it remains juicy, nd you can preserve as much of the flavor as you can. Don’t keep on moving or flipping it over and over again, as well. One should be enough as long as both sides are cooked.

How to Cook the Bacon

Fry the bacon

Unlike with the cutlet, you don’t have to preheat the pan for the bacon. You can gradually increase the temperature as you go on to avoid having it stick to the surface. Also, don’t let it sit on the pan after it is cooked. Instead, transfer it right away.

How to Make the Burger
